Dr. Kristie Craigen
BIOGRAPHY
As an advocate of Cognitive Behavioral interventions, Kristie utilizes this treatment approach in conjunction with Positive Psychology ideologies to encourage young people to become aware of and develop individual skills and strengths as a means to reach their potential.
While her initial work in the clinical field over the past eight years saw her focus on working with children and adolescents who were experiencing behavioral, emotional or academic difficulties, usually in the presence of co-morbid conditions such as substance abuse, familial dysfunction &/or psychological issues, she more recently developed a passion for working with underperforming High Potential Learners (HPLs). She now actively seeks out opportunities to support and advocate for HPLs to ensure that they not only discover their innate talents but understand their gifts and be excited about their learning.
